CCL Benelux Reflections

From 27 – 31 March, we held our first Creative Climate Leadership Benelux programme at the Koningsteen Centre, a sustainable retreat in Belgium. The 25 strong cohort came from a variety of artistic backgrounds, spanning cultural policy, music, architecture, visual arts and storytelling.

With a cohort hailing from right across Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, lively and meaningful discussions were held on systems thinking, the role of institutions, and centred around the importance of climate justice and sharing knowledge, experiences and ideas on how culture can meet the climate challenge.

“…It’s very thought provoking, there are a lot of creative people here. I’m getting a lot of insight into my work and getting to know about the incredible work that other people are doing in the creative and climate sector.” – CCL Benelux participant Syed Jazib Ali.
