"For me, CCL means anchoring social and climate justice in the DNA of the institution, getting as many people on board as possible and having the courage to initiate radical change."

About

Catja Loepfe has a degree in social anthropology. She started as a freelance curator and took over the direction of the Rote Fabriktheater in Zurich in 1999. 2007-12 she worked as a dance dramaturg and interim director at Gessnerallee Zurich. In 2012 she was appointed as director of the site specific festival “Zurich tanzt” and became the artistic director of Tanzhaus Zurich in 2014, where she felt the urgent need to transform this institution in order to face and overcome the social and ecological challenges.
