About Creative Climate Leadership

Creative Climate Leadership (CCL) is an international training and transformation programme to empower artists and cultural professionals to take action on the climate and ecological crisis with impact, creativity, and resilience.

The programme strengthens the extraordinary climate leadership found across the creative and cultural ecosystem, and champions positive change using an approach orientated  towards justice and inclusion. Each iteration of the course is infused with the entrepreneurial ideas of CCL alumni.

175 people, working in 26 countries, have taken part in CCL programmes so far. Our alumni join an evolving international network of creatives taking action and mobilising others in their field, through events, workshops, artistic works, and projects.

“Attending CCL was a really formative experience for me, both professionally and personally. I left empowered, emboldened and with a network of artists and practitioners to help me make change in my organisation and communities.”

– Daniel De La Motte, Artist

CCL Courses

CCL courses can take place at venues worldwide or online. The course is aimed at artists and cultural leaders and we welcome applications from all creative disciplines and art forms. The five-day intensive course enables participants to apply environmental frameworks and targets meaningfully to their work, and explore what leadership means in the context of a rapidly changing world.

As part of the course we also offer:

  • A free alumni network
  • Access to grants and mentoring
  • Dialogue with policymakers through labs and conference events
  • Ongoing support
