About
Em Piro has been called a change agent, disruptor, artist, counsellor, sparkplug, and community architect. Her practice is in performance, urbanism, futurism, and environmental economics. Em is rooted in Seattle and St Louis, with tendrils in Toronto, Denver, and on the road. She has arted and ideated across Turtle Island (US/Canada), South America, Europe/Scandinavia, UK and in the expansive virtual landscape. Em’s work has been highlighted in NYTimes, CNN, Riverfront Times, a history textbook and the Kickass Awards.
