About

Since joining Somerset House Trust in 2013, Karishma has worked on a broad range of cultural programming including festivals, large scale outdoor installations, events and artist commissions. Her current research interests primarily relate to environmental sustainability and in 2017 took part in the Creative Climate Leadership programme led by arts and environmental charity Julie’s Bicycle. Karishma is also currently taking part in Creative Producers International, a programme relating to the idea of Playable Cities which is led by the Watershed in Bristol. Karishma began her career working as a graphic designer specialising in editorial design and later worked as a design curator following an MA in Curating Contemporary Design at the Design Museum (2011-12) which included projects in China and India focused on arts education and social enterprise respectively.
